Building Process: Structural Design and Construction

Construction

Engineered posts are anchored into the hole with crushed rock. Crushed rock has superior holding power and provides improved drainage.

Pressure treated lumber is used in all areas that come into contact with the ground. The first wall purlin is also pressure treated and is sized so you can back-fill or pour concrete against it.

Walls are then strapped. Spacing and size of material are determined by engineered standards.

Trusses are then lifted into position. Only engineered truss systems are used. For maximum strength, we put a laminated post under every truss and set the trusses into each post.

Once the roof is strapped, the building is ready for the metal cladding. Post size, spacing and the strapping size are job-sized according to engineered specifications. Foam closures are used to help seal the building.

Full trim packages plus pre-finished walk-in doors and PVC windows ensure a lifetime of minimal maintenance--no painting!

All buildings are braced according to the engineers' specifications required for your building.

Please advise the crew where you want to store some of the garbage created from construction. You may want to provide a truck or container to store the garbage.

The crew will collect the final payment with the completion of your building.

Doors

Your building comes complete with a cannonball sliding door that is on the end wall. It will be sized half the width of the building.

You may add more sliding doors on the side or the other end.

An insulated overhead door can also be installed complete with remotes and electric lift.

Bi-fold doors ranging in size from 24' to 70' are also available. These can also be insulated.
